Our Mission Statement
The Jack Fanning Memorial Foundation, “Angels For Autism,” offers hope to families with autistic children. We strive to assist those affected in achieving their individual potential for a happy, healthy, productive life and to preserve their quality of life by providing research, group home development, respite, educational, vocational and recreational opportunities for the advancement of autistic individuals.

About the Jack House
Through the generous donations of our many supporters, The Jack Fanning Memorial Foundation is proud of its fiscal commitment to the development of 2 independent group homes on Long Island. Together these 2 homes are serving 12 adolescents, some of which have finally moved back to their New York area families from New England. The first home opened in January 2006 in Dix Hills, NY with 6 residents, and the second home in St. James opened in January 2007. These homes are managed through the Eden II Program, Foundation for the Advancement of Autistic Persons (F.A.A.P.).

Skill development in residential sites is focused on promoting those abilities necessary for increasing independence - daily living skills, communication, socialization, etc. Residents receive the support necessary to participate in whatever their community has to offer - restaurants, parks, volunteer services, religious services, recreation and leisure.

Family continues to be an important part of the team, and their partnership is sought and fostered. The goal is to provide individuals with a loving environment that promotes self-determination, independence, productivity, integration and inclusion.
